Free Tools To Identify Bundle CPT Codes
- CGS Medicare & Medicare FL (First Coast Service Options, Inc.) insurance have given an open tool to their website to identify bundle CPT codes.
- Medicare FL (First Coast Service Options, Inc.): https://medicare.fcso.com/SharedTools/faces/Ncci_en.jspx?lob=&state=
- On both websites, need to enter CPT and then search for it. It shows the CPT codes to which the current CPT is bundled.
- It also shows the "Modifier/Policy Indicator" column with values "0-Not allowed", "1-Allowed" & "9-Not applicable".
- Modifier Indicator - "0-Not allowed": Take the action as per the client's instructions either adjust off or send an appeal.
- Modifier Indicator - "1-Allowed": Add a modifier that is suggested by the client or assign it to the coding team for the most accurate modifier for the CPT code.
- Modifier Indicator - "9-Not applicable": Make a call to insurance to get the claim reprocessed.
83615,84100,84550 are usually denied as bundled. Are these really bundled?
