  1. If you get a payment without an EOB you have no numbers to put in the system, can't reach a real person to find the information and so are basically stuck. This is the worst insurance company I have had to deal with.

  2. You can request a claim status through IVR on a fax number which will provide you payment information if the claim is paid. Also you can self registered for UMR portal at link - https://www.umr.com/tpa-ap-web/?navDeepDive=publicHomeDefaultContentMenu
After completing registration, you can login and pull the claim status that will provide all payment information and you can also download the EOB.
Hope this answer your questions, please write us back if have any further questions.

  3. No way to speak with an actual person. Our office fax machine is down and we can't reach anyone from UMR to verify patient eligibility. Worst insurance company we've dealt with.

  4. We would suggest you to get the access of UMR portal where you can check the patient eligibility, claim status and even get a passcode to speak with insurance representative.

  5. None of the options above actually work. When you access the UMR portal for patient eligibility or claim status you don't get a passcode to speak with a representative. Rather you get a number to call benefits or claims and eligibility and have no option for live rep at all, along with limited options for services. No option to inquire on claims, just comment of "will fax you the claim information" when that is not the problem. The problem is needing to talk to someone about the claim information which can be seen on the portal. The portal seems to merely help confirm how the claim was submitted and processed but not get answers about questions regarding the claim.
I deal with a lot of insurance companies and never not had the option to talk to a rep until this one.
